Alpha Theta Chapter
Chartered
January 22, 1955
Formal recognition of the chapter by Alpha Alpha State came as the result of long planning and hard work done in 1953 and 1954. Seven individuals were already state members and the time had arrived to establish a geographical home. The next step was to locate the necessary twelve candidates who would form the nucleus of the fledgling chapter.
The installation rites were held at 11 o'clock on January 22, 1955, at the Alexander Hotel, Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Dr. Stadtlander presented the charter to Besse Ekis.
